Project description
To provide guards protecting changes in elevation less than 4200mm that include climbable elements in elevations between 140mm and 900mm from the walking surface that they protect. As noted in the attached correspondence, we believe that these guards meet the intent of OBC item 3.3.1.17(5) particularly when considered in the context of similar, but more prescriptive, National Building Code language. The Ontario Building Code will adopt the NBC language in its next version.
