Project description

Purpose-built creative hub will serve as a center for local arts & culture in York. Black Creek Arts & Culture provides creators outside of the downtown core with a flexible venue option that can serve multi-disciplinary functions. These could include: art shows, markets, educational workshops, screenings, film/video shoots, events, fashion shows, live performances, conferences/panelsBCA is an exercise in creative placemaking. Permanent fixtures and Mixed-Use spaces will provide the canvas for this Arts driven eco-system to thrive. Through community and educational partnerships, we seek to empower the next generation of Toronto Creatives. Creating employment opportunities within the arts and bringing new creative energy tothe rapidly developing area by turning a vacant building into an economic generator.
