Project description

Proposed is a 75,000 square foot, 20m high City of Toronto community centre to replace the existing John Innes Community Centre. Programming includes a 6 lane, 25 meter lap pool, double gymnasium, fitness, weight room, multi-purpose room and wood shop, spread over 4 storeys to reduce the building footprint at grade. A large roof terrace on the second floor will provide views to the park and downtown and provide opportunities for activity and additional green space. The project will target Net Zero Green House Gas Emissions and is reviewing potential renewable energy systems.
